Ohio Division of Natural Resources, Division of Watercraft will be conducting a one day Safe Boating Course. This class is good for the entire family ages 12 years and up. Mandatory Boater Education is required for any person born on or after 1/1/82 who will operate a powerboat with more than 10 hp. OBEC is Ohio's official boating education course. This standardized 8-hour course is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and is offered throughout Ohio to supplement other boating education opportunities. Course content focuses on Ohio and Federal boating laws including equipment requirements, operating laws, rules of the road, and buoy systems, plus topics of risk management, basic safety practices, and survival in emergencies.

Cost of the course is FREE.

When: Saturday May 11, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
There will be a 1 hour lunch break.  The Viking’s Den restaurant located at HLM main building will be open for lunch and there is a menu board for local restaurant deliveries to Pool Complex. 

Where: Huron Lagoons Marina Pool Complex.

Directions to Huron Lagoons Marina: Exit State route 2 at the Route 13 exit, proceed north to caution light and turn right onto Riverside Dr. Continue to the third street on left, Laguna Dr. Follow to end of street 100 Laguna Dr. HLM Pool Complex will be first building on left.
